2021 (Track & Field): Finished in 4:49.90 in the indoor mile on Feb. 13 at the GVSU Big Meet… Had a season-best outdoor 800 time of 2:02.69 on April 16 at the Gibson Invitational… Raced in the outdoor 1500 and finished in 4:43.77 on April 9 at the Big Blue Classic… Member of MVC Academic Honor Roll… Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors.

2020-21 (Cross Country): Did not compete in the MVC Championship, the team’s lone race of the season.

2020 (Track & Field): Ran his season-best 800-meter run on Jan. 17 at the Bill Clinger Classic, hosted by GVSU, with a time of 2:03.14… Recorded his fastest mile time of 4:54.37 on Jan. 25 at Indiana State’s John Gartland Invitational… Ran a 2:09.97 in the 800 at the MVC Indoor Championships, hosted by UNI, on Feb. 29.

2019 (Cross Country): Ran his career-best in the 5-mile at the Joe Piane Invite, hosted by Notre Dame on Oct. 4, with a time of 29:17.10. Ran his season’s best 8K on Sept. 21 at Indiana State’s John McNichols Invitational, coming across at 30:03.4.

2019 (Track & Field): Competed in a variety of events as a freshman…. Ran the third leg of the indoor 4x400-meter relay on Jan. 25 at the GVSU Open… Recorded his first indoor mile time (4:38.44) on Feb. 2 at the Fred Wilt Open and had the third-best time in the indoor 800-meter run (2:00.88) at the GVSU Tune-Up on Feb. 15. Vanderhei competed in four 800-meter races during the outdoor season. Had his best time in the event April 13 at Illinois Twilight with a mark of 2:01.86. Also competed in the 800 at MVC Championships and recorded a time of 5.35. 

2018 (Cross Country): Competed in four meets as a freshman for Valparaiso…Started the season off by posting a 21:56.5 time in the Crusader Open…Posted his season best 8K time at the Greater Louisville Classic, crossing the finish in 28:20.7.

Prep: A three-year letterwiner for the Panthers ... member of conference championship team in 2015 ... also earned three letters in track and field ... member of record-setting 4x800m relay team indoors as a sophomore ... qualified for state meet with 4x800m relay team in 2017 ... part of All-Conference relay squad in 2018 ... member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Stuart and Kim Vanderhei ... enrolled in the physician's assistant program.
