2023: Posted a season-best 59.07 in the outdoor 400 hurdles at the Clark Wood Open… Stopped the clock in 12.00 seconds in the 100 at the Jack Shaw Invitational… Posted a 200 time of 24.23 at the Jack Shaw Invitational… Finished the 400 in 55.25 at the Gibson Invitational.
Prep: Two-time member of the century club, scoring 100 or more points in a season... Made it to the podium in the 300-meter hurdles at state... Qualified for state two years in the 4x400 and one year each in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles... Team captain for two years...Varsity letter winner all four years of high school... Shattered the school record in the 55 hurdles.
Personal: Majoring in environmental science... Son of Kate and Derek Carpenter... Has three siblings, Christian, Holly and Aidan... Loves to fish and be outdoors in his free time... Was originally going to play soccer in college but changed his mind after Valpo reached out... Was ranked No. 98 nationally in the 55 hurdles.
