The Valparaiso softball team will take to the field to play eight games over four days this fall, including a pair of home doubleheaders at the Valparaiso University Softball Field.
The Crusaders will compete for the first time under the guidance of head coach Kate Stake on Friday, Sept. 19, as they host Purdue Calumet in a home doubleheader at 3:15 p.m. Two days later, Valpo makes the short trek to West Lafayette to face Purdue at 10 a.m. (CT) and Ball State at 2 p.m.
The next Sunday – Sept. 28 – Valpo travels to Northern Illinois for games at 1:30 p.m. against DePaul and 4 p.m. against the host Huskies. The fall slate concludes for the Crusaders on Saturday, Oct. 4 back at home, as Valpo welcomes Grand Valley State for a twinbill beginning at noon.
Valparaiso welcomes ten letterwinners back from the 2014 squad which advanced to the Horizon League championship game for a third straight season, while nine freshmen complete the roster for the upcoming 2015 campaign.
