The Athletics-Recreation Center is located at 1009 Union Street on the campus of Valparaiso University. Brown Field is located immediately north of the ARC.

Birthday Parties

Fans are invited to host their birthday party at a Valpo sporting event. Arrangements can be made for a private party area, party favors, food and drink, cake, special appearances by players and/or coaches, and in-game recognition. Rates start as low as $10 per person. Due to NCAA regulations, birthday party packages cannot be offered to anyone in grades 7 through 12. Please contact Renee' Turpa at Renee.Turpa1@valpo.edu for more information.

Broadcasts

All Valpo football and men's basketball games can be found on the Valpo Sports Radio Network, currently airing on WVUR (95.1 FM, Valparaiso) and online at ValpoAthletics.com. Women's basketball, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, baseball and softball games are also available (schedule permitting) on WVUR and ValpoAthletics.com. All basketball and volleyball games, and select soccer, football and softball games (except for those broadcast on television) can be seen online via WatchESPN and the ESPN app. Fans can check game notes on a event-by-event basis for broadcast details.

Children's Tickets

Valpo Athletics does not offer a special ticket rate for children for men's basketball games. However, children 10 years old and under are admitted FREE to all Valpo football, volleyball, and women's basketball games. Children under 2 years old are FREE to all events if they do not require their own seat. For more information, visit the Tickets page.

Concessions

Concessions are offered for sale on the main and mezzanine levels of the ARC and behind the main grandstand at Brown Field. Credit cards are accepted. 

Directions

From the North: Take route 49 south towards Valparaiso. Exit onto route 30, heading west. When you see the restaurant Industrial Revolution Revolution on the right side of the street, turn right on Linwood Avenue. Take Linwood Avenue approximately one third of a mile until you reach the first stop sign. Take a sharp right turn onto Union Street and proceed to the next stop sign. The ARC is located at the corner of Union Street and University Park Avenue.

From the East: Drive west on route 30. When you see the restaurant Industrial Revolution on the right side of the street, turn right on Linwood Avenue. Take Linwood Avenue approximately one third of a mile until you reach the first stop sign. Take a sharp right turn onto Union Street and proceed to the next stop sign. The ARC is located at the corner of Union Street and University Park Avenue.

From the South: Take I-65 north from Indianapolis. Exit onto route 30, heading east. Drive approximately 15 miles east towards Valparaiso. When you see the restaurant Industrial Revolution on the left side of the street, turn left on Linwood Avenue. Take Linwood Avenue approximately one third of a mile until you reach the first stop sign. Take a sharp right turn onto Union Street and proceed to the next stop sign. The ARC is located at the corner of Union Street and University Park Avenue.

From the West: Drive east on route 30. After passing I-65 in Merrillville, continue driving approximately 15 miles east towards Valparaiso. When you see the restaurant Industrial Revolution on the left side of the street, turn left on Linwood Avenue. Take Linwood Avenue approximately one third of a mile until you reach the first stop sign. Take a sharp right turn onto Union Street and proceed to the next stop sign. The ARC is located at the corner of Union Street and University Park Avenue.

Donation Requests

Donation requests may be made by downloading and completing the form found HERE. Please send completed form to 1009 Union St. Valparaiso, IN 46383 or at Valpo.Athletics@valpo.edu. Please understand that NCAA guidelines prohibit Valpo Athletics from making donations to certain organizations such as some schools, youth organizations, and individuals that are considered to be "recruitable athletes." The Valpo Compliance office will review your request upon submission and determine if a donation can be made.

Doors Open

The doors of the ARC and the gates of Brown Field generally open 1 hour prior to game time. If an excessively large crowd is expected, doors are sometimes opened 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to the game to accommodate the additional fans. Please call the ticket office at 877-MY-VU-TIX if you have a question regarding the time doors will open.

Group Tickets

Group tickets are available to all ticketed Valpo Athletics events. Groups of 10 or more are eligible to receive discounted tickets to football, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball games. Check out the Tickets page or contact Renee' Turpa at Renee.Turpa1@valpo.edu for more information.

Handicap Access

Fans with disabilities may request special seating by contacting the ticket office at 877-MY-VU-TIX. Limited handicap parking is offered in lot 43 south of the ARC and in the Fitness Center lot on the north side of Union Street, just to the east of the ARC main entrance. Those in wheelchairs should plan to enter the ARC through the main entrance on the southeast corner of the building. A lift is available for the convenience of patrons in wheelchairs or with other disabilities. Please contact a member of the game day staff for assistance at the game.

Hospitality Areas

The ARC Suite is Valpo's main hospitality area for men's basketball, and will be open for all regular season home games against Division I opponents. It will open 60 minutes prior to tip-off and will be open again at halftime.

ARC Suite

Season pass: $300/person

ARC Suite passes can only be purchased by Valpo Victory Fund members at the Green Level or above, or by members of the President’s Circle (click the Valpo Victory Fund link at the top of the page for more information). This hospitality area is located in the northwest corner of the floor level of the ARC. The ARC Suite includes complimentary soft drinks, coffee and a cash bar with beer and wine. Heavy hors d’oeuvres are served prior to tip-off, and dessert is served during halftime. 

Mark LaBarbera, various Valpo coaches, student-athletes and other guest speakers will speak to the suite attendees prior to each game. Suite attendees also have exclusive use of the ARC’s northwest entrance, which is convenient to both the ARC and Gold parking lots. Each ARC Suite member will receive a certain number of complimentary guest admissions to the Suite based on their Valpo Victory Fund recognition level. A coat rack is also available and is accessible after the game.

Merchandise

Valpo merchandise can be purchased on the floor level at all men's basketball home games. The Bookstore will be located immediately inside the main entrance to the arena, on the east end of the arena. Merchandise is also available at select football games near the east spectator entrance to Brown Field. The Valpo Bookstore is located in the Harre Union. Parking

Men's Basketball: FREE general parking is available to fans in the surface lot adjacent to the former Porter Hospital parking garage, north of the ARC on LaPorte Ave, and in lots 14 and 15 near the softball field about 2 blocks east of the ARC on Union Street.

Parking passes are required to park in the Gold Lot (west aisle of lot 43 on the parking map) and the ARC Lot (lot 45 on the parking map). The passes are valid for all regular season home games, including exhibitions. ARC Lot Reserved pass holders will have a specific space held for them each game in the ARC Lot. These spaces are only available to Brown and Gold Level Valpo Victory Fund members or members of the President’s Circle at the Scholar’s Level. General admission passes to the ARC Lot can be purchased by any President’s Circle member, or by Valpo Victory Fund members at the Green Level or above. The Gold Lot is available for purchase by any President’s Circle member, or Valpo Victory Fund member at the White Level or above. Please note that with the installation of the Hoger Track around Brown Field, that lot 33, the former location of the Gold Lot, no longer exists. Obey posted signs to avoid parking tickets.

Football: FREE general parking is available to fans in lot 43 immediately south of the ARC, lots 14 and 15 near the softball field about 2 blocks east of the ARC on Union Street. Paid (per vehicle), game day parking is available in lots 32, 45, and 46 to the south and west of Brown Field. Please obey posted signs to avoid parking tickets.

Women's Basketball and Volleyball: All parking around the ARC is FREE. Please obey posted signs to avoid parking tickets.

Accessible parking is always free of charge and is available on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone with a government-issued ADA placard on their vehicle. Spaces are available in the lot in front of the Fitness Center on the north side of Union Street. A few additional spaces are also located in the northwest corner of the Gold Lot.

Pet Policy

Pets are not permitted within any of Valparaiso University's athletic facilities.  Service animals are excluded from this policy.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located on the lower level of the ARC just outside the southwest and southeast doors to the arena. On the upper level, restrooms are located in the hallway behind the mezzanine seating, next to the concession stand. There are no restrooms at Brown Field. Fans are asked to enter the ARC through the east doors to use restrooms in the ARC.

Ticket Office

The ticket office is located just inside the main entrance of the ARC, at the southeast corner of the building. Office hours are 10-4 Monday through Friday. Ticket windows open 1 hour prior to home events for day of game sales and Will Call pick-up. Contact the ticket office at 877-MY-VU-TIX or 219-464-5233. Will Call/Player Guests

Will call tickets may be picked up in the main lobby of the ARC beginning one hour prior to game time. For events at the ARC, player guest tickets will be located at the general will call table. The will call table is located across from the ticket windows. Please enter through the doors on the far left of the main entrance at the southeast corner of the ARC. In order to pick up an order, the original ticket buyer must present a photo ID and may be asked to show the credit card used for the purchase. Fans may also drop off tickets at this table for members of their party arriving at a later time. At Brown Field, will call tickets may be claimed at any of the ticket windows on the south side of the stadium. Player guests at football game may claim their tickets inside the northwest lobby of the ARC.
