Volleyball Signs Mallory Januski to NLI

Valpo volleyball head coach Carin Avery announced today that Mallory Januski, a 6’2” middle out of Bourbonnais, Ill., has signed her National Letter of Intent and will join the Valpo program as a freshman in the fall of 2020.

“Mallory is someone who flew under the radar a bit in the recruiting process, luckily for us,” said Avery. “She has a lot of length and has a knack for blocking. She has nowhere near reached her potential, and as Mallory continues to get stronger and starts playing at our level, I feel like she has a chance to be a great middle blocker for us. She is a fantastic person who I can’t wait to work with every day in our program.”

An All-Area selection and SWSC Red Conference Player of the Year this year as a senior, Januski has been a three-year starter for Bradley-Bourbonnais H.S. She finished the 2019 season with 307 kills and 90 blocks and was named to All-Tournament Teams at Rich East and the Moldenhauer Classic. Januski currently plays her club volleyball for Impulse Volleyball Club.

“I chose Valpo because the coaches, the team and the environment were a perfect fit for what I was looking for, both as a student and as an athlete,” said Januski. “I’m extremely excited to play for this program and be a part of this family!”
