Valparaiso University women's basketball coach Keith Freeman has announced that Kayla Ming has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Crusaders next fall.

Ming, a 5'7" guard from Grayslake, Ill., scored 2,016 points in four years for Grayslake High School. She was a Third Team All-State selection in Class AA in Illinois, averaging 20.9 points per game as a senior. Ming shot 50.8% from the floor and 82.0% from the free throw line during her final season at Grayslake.

?Kayla is a tough competitor," Freeman said. ?She is a good passer and can score. She, combined with the four we signed early, provides for a very strong recruiting class."
