Friday, November 24, 2006
The Valparaiso University Ticket Office announced today that tickets are still available for Monday and Wednesday night's men's basketball games, as the Crusaders host #13 Marquette and Butler, respectively, and for Saturday's game at #3 Ohio State. Tickets for women's basketball games are also available, as the Crusaders host Bradley on Tuesday and Notre Dame on Dec. 19.

Tickets for the Marquette and Butler games, both scheduled to tip at 7:05 p.m., range from $9-11, while tickets for the Ohio State game, slated for a 3 p.m. Central tip, are available for $24. Tickets for the women's games against Bradley and Notre Dame, 7:05 p.m. tips, range from $3-5.

Marquette is coming off of a 73-62 win over #8 Duke Tuesday night, and will be the first ranked team to set foot in the Athletics-Recreation Center since the Crusaders hosted #8 Purdue in the second game of the 1997-98 season. Butler, receiving votes in both polls prior to this week, defeated #21 Tennessee Wednesday, 56-44, and plays #23 Gonzaga tonight for the Preseason NIT championship. The Bulldogs are currently the top-ranked team in the nation in the RPI.

Ohio State has started the season with five consecutive victories. The Buckeyes will be in the top-10 when the Crusaders face them, marking the sixth straight season that Valpo has faced off against one of the nation's top-10 teams.

Bradley enters its contest Tuesday against the Crusader women with a 2-2 record on the season, while the Notre Dame women currently sit at 3-1.
