Valparaiso University’s Agnieszka Kulaga (Tarnow, Poland/I Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace H.S.) has been named to the Horizon League’s Second Team as the conference announced its postseason honors on Monday afternoon.

Kulaga, a 5’6” junior guard, leads the Crusaders in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game.  She is also the team’s leading rebounder, grabbing 5.2 boards per night.  Kulaga has added 3.4 steals and a team-leading 2.0 steals per contest while starting all 29 games for the Brown and Gold.

Three times season, Kulaga was named the Horizon League’s Player of the Week, including after posting a triple-double against league champion Green Bay.  Kulaga’s 427 points this season rank eighth on Valpo’s single season scoring list, and her 84.6% free throw shooting currently ranks second best in school history for a single season.

Kulaga and Valpo (14-15, 9-9 Horizon) will begin play on Wednesday at the Horizon League Championships.  The Crusaders will face the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wis.
