Valparaiso University’s women’s basketball program, known for their success both on the court and in the classroom, finished the 2007-2008 school year ranked 24^th in the nation in NCAA Division I for team grade point average.  This is the 10th straight season the Crusaders’ team has been ranked in the top-25 on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Honor Roll.  The Crusaders finished 12^th in the country for Division I in team grade point average one year ago in 2005-2006.

                Head coach Keith Freeman’s squad tallied a 3.286 team grade point average last season.  The Crusaders were the lone Horizon League team to be recognized this season.

                Prior to the 12^th place ranking last year, Valpo had finished 4^th (2005-2006), 14^th (2004-2005), 6^th (2003-2004), 9^th (2002-2003), 5^th (2001-2002), 25^th (2000-2001), 11^th (1999-2000), and 14^th (1998-1999) over the past eight seasons.

WBCA Honor Roll
