The Valpo women’s basketball program unveiled its nonconference slate for the upcoming 2022-23 season on Tuesday, a schedule which includes five early-season games at home at the ARC.

Valpo will open the 2022-23 campaign on the road at Central Michigan Monday, Nov. 7 before coming home for the first of three consecutive home games at the ARC Saturday, Nov. 12 versus Southern Miss. Eastern Illinois visits town Wednesday, Nov. 16 before the homestand finishes on Monday, Nov. 21 against UAB.

The Beacons will face the first of two Big Ten foes on their schedule Sunday, Nov. 27 with a trip to Evanston, Ill. to take on Northwestern, which finished last season with a NET of 65. Valpo follows with a return home to take on Bowling Green — which earned third place at last season’s Women’s Basketball Invitational — Friday, Dec. 2 and then welcomes Western Michigan to the ARC Wednesday, Dec. 7.

A former conference rival is next on the docket, as the Beacons play at Western Illinois Friday, Dec. 9. Following a break for final exams, Valpo concludes the nonconference schedule Thursday, Dec. 22 at Wisconsin.

The 2022-23 Missouri Valley Conference schedule will be released at a later date.
