Valparaiso bowling head coach Matt Nantais announced today that Danielle Lynn (Milton, Wis./Milton) will be joining the Crusader squad as a freshman for the 2012-2013 season.

Lynn comes to Valpo after a solid prep career at Milton H.S., where she finished sixth at the Wisconsin State Tournament in individual competition as a senior after capturing the district title.  Lynn, who helped the Redhawks to the state team competition in each of her final two years, qualified for states individually in each of the last four years and also earned a second-place district finish as a junior.

The three-time team MVP helped her Milton team to second-place team finishes at the district tournament in each of her final two years and a fourth-place finish at states as a junior.  Outside of the high school arena, Lynn was a National Junior Gold qualifier in both 2011 and 2012 and has participated in numerous regional youth competitions.

“We are excited to have Danielle join our program,” said Nantais.  “She is a very dedicated bowler and puts in the time and effort to get better and compete at the next level.  She is going to be a great asset to the team in the coming year.”

The addition of Lynn to next year’s squad means the Crusaders will have four incoming freshmen for the 2012-2013 season, as she joins the previously announced trio of Kelsey Fader, Katherine Sulaitis and Tedra Tado.
