#14 Valparaiso closed out the Kutztown Invitational in Reading, Pa. on Sunday, finishing the tournament in sixth place out of the 26 competing teams.

The Crusaders, who were seeded sixth entering bracket play by virtue of their performance in the first two days of competition, faced fifth-seeded #RV North Carolina A&T in their first match of the day and defeated the Aggies. But Valpo was unable to close out the tournament on a winning note, falling to #8 Vanderbilt and #5 Stephen F. Austin each of its final two matches to finish in sixth position.

Valparaiso (34-34) competes for the third straight weekend next weekend at the Prairie View A&M Invitational in Arlington, Texas. The three-day event begins on Friday, Jan. 31.
