The #RV Valparaiso University bowling team closed out the Mid-Winter Classic in Jonesboro, Ark. on Sunday, finishing the three-day event in 14th place.

How It Happened

• Valpo opened Sunday’s action, contested in the best-of-seven baker format, against Drury and jumped out to a 1-0 lead on the back of a 222 game. Drury took the next three games, but Valpo extended the match with a 232 in game five before dropping game six to fall 4-2.
• Valpo next matched up against #15 Lincoln Memorial, but was able to break 200 just once in falling 4-1.
• Valpo closed out tournament action against #24 Central Missouri. After dropping the first three games, Valpo took the fourth with a 203 game before falling in game five to close out a 4-1 decision and finish in 14th place.
