Valpo Closes Big Red Invitational Sunday

The #RV Valparaiso University bowling team finished out its final regular season tournament on Sunday, completing action on the third day of competition at the Big Red Invitational in Lincoln, Neb.

How It Happened

  • Valpo won each of the first two games against the Red Wolves, but would eventually fall by a 4-2 final. Valpo broke 200 in two of the final four games, including a 212 in game five, but ASU rolled games of 204 or better in each of the final four games to claim the win.
  • The second and final matchup of the day was seeded to determine final tournament positioning, matching Valpo up with #18 Maryville.
  • The two squads split the first two games, but Maryville would break 200 in each of the final three games to earn a 4-1 win.
