Crusaders take seventh at IPFW Invitational
Kelly Voigt placed 10th at the IPFW Invitational.

Junior Kelly Voigt (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) finished in a tie for 10th-place individually, and the Valparaiso women’s golf team finished in seventh after Monday’s final round of the two-day IPFW Invitational at Brookwood GC in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Voigt shot a three-over par round of 75 in the final round to finish with a two-day total 156.

The Crusaders posted a team score of 644. The University of Indianapolis won the team title with a score of 616, while Indianapolis’ Jenny Konop won medalist honors with a total of 148.

Sophomore A.J. Selig (Hortonville, Wis./Appleton West) finished in a tie for 20th with a two-day score of 159.

Juniors Erika Pfaender (Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead) and Michelle Kleckner (New Brighton, Minn./Irondale) each posted final round scores of 82.

Pfaender finished with a two-round total of 161, while Kleckner had a score of 162.

Junior Brianna Davy (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) posted a total score of 165.

The Crusaders return to the links on Saturday, April 13 for the first day of the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
