Kleckner Repeats as All-League Honoree as Crusaders Prep for HL Tournament
Michelle Kleckner is a two-time All-League honoree.

Valparaiso senior Michelle Kleckner (New Brighton, Minn./Irondale) earned All-Horizon League honors for the second straight season as the league announced its postseason awards prior to the start of the Horizon League Championship on Friday.

Kleckner was one of seven Horizon League golfers to earn All-League accolades on Friday after finishing the regular season with the fourth-best scoring average in the league (78.8). The senior earned Golfer of the Week honors in the fall after setting a new program 54-hole scoring record at the Golfweek Program Challenge. Kleckner led the way for Valpo as well as the Crusaders won the SIUE DoubleTree Invitational, finishing in a tie for third place individually.

Kleckner leads the five-player Crusader squad into the league championship tournament this week, as Valpo aims to improve on its fourth-place finish from last season. Kleckner is joined on the team by fellow seniors Erika Pfaender (Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead) and Kelly Voigt (Palatine, Ill./Fremd), sophomore Sibil Gill (Kokomo, Ind./Western) and freshman Angie Kim (Schaumburg, Ill./Fremd).
