Kim Leads Crusaders on Final Day at Dayton
Angie Kim shot a season-low 77 on day two of the Dayton Fall Invitational

The Valparaiso women’s golf team moved up a spot in team standings and had two golfers place in the top-25 in final round action at the Dayton Fall Invitational at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.

Sophomore Angie Kim (Schaumburg, Ill./Fremd) led the Crusaders with a season-low 77 in round two and finished in a tie for 11th place with an overall score of 155. Her 36-hole score was just outside the top-10 in Valpo history.

Senior A.J. Selig (Hortonville, Wis./Appleton West) shot an 80 on day two to finish in a tie for 21st place as she shot a 36-hole career-low 157. Junior Sibil Gill (Kokomo, Ind./Western) improved by seven strokes from day one to shot a season-low 169 over 36 holes and finish in a tie for 69th place.

Freshman Katie Willenbrink (Mishawaka, Ind./Penn) and junior Angie Gaugert (Lake Geneva, Wis./Badger) rounded out the Crusaders with an 86 and 88 respectively to finish in a tie for 76th place with a combined 173.

As a team Valpo finished in a tie for 11th place with a 651, just outside the top-ten in Crusader history. They conclude their fall season next week at the Braun Intercollegiate in Boonville, Ind.
