Aulani Fernandez joined the Valpo soccer staff in February 2022 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Fernandez comes to Valpo after spending the 2021 season as an assistant coach at Stanislaus State University. She helped lead the Warriors as they posted an 8-6-4 record and surrendered just 10 goals over 18 matches.

In October 2021, Fernandez was selected to the 2021-22 class of the United Soccer Coaches 30 Under Program, a year-long education and mentorship opportunity designed to support up-and-coming members of the coaching profession who are 30 years of age or younger.

Prior to her time at Stanislaus State, Fernandez spent two years as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Cal State East Bay. The two years on staff with the Pioneers came after a four-year playing career, during which she appeared in 69 matches, making 46 starts.

In addition to her collegiate coaching background, Fernandez brings club coaching experience with Mustang Soccer Club and Livermore Fusion.
