Jackie Thomas

Valparaiso University’s Jackie Kondratko (Granger, Ind./Penn H.S.) and Jackie Thomas (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest H.S.) have both been voted to the Horizon League’s All-Academic Team in women’s soccer.

Kondratko shared the team lead with three goals this season and finished the year with seven total points.  Two of the junior forward’s three goals resulted in match-winners.  Kondratko is a mechanical engineering major and carries a 3.92 cumulative grade point average.  She earned First Team Academic All-District V honors as well.

Thomas, a senior defender, was a First Team All-Horizon League selection after sharing the team lead with Kondratko with three goals.  A Second Team Academic All-District V selection, she anchored a Valpo back line that posted 10 shutouts and surrendered a school record-low 14 goals on the season.  She carries a 3.87 cumulative grade point average as a public relations and sports management major.

The Horizon League’s All-Academic Team consists of 14 players that were voted upon by the conference’s faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.
