Top-seeded Valparaiso will take on fourth-seeded Green Bay in the second semifinal of the 2014 Horizon League Championship at Brown Field this Thursday evening, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.

The Phoenix advanced to the semifinals by virtue of a 3-1 victory Monday in first-round action over fifth-seeded Youngstown State, while the Crusaders earned a bye to the semifinals after claiming the regular season crown.  In their meeting this season, which served as the regular season finale just last Friday, Valpo scored three goals in the first seven minutes en route to a 4-1 win.

The first semifinal, slated for a 4:30 p.m. start on Thursday afternoon, pits second-seeded Detroit versus third-seeded Oakland.  The Titans also received a bye to the semifinals, while Oakland fought to a 1-1 draw in first-round action with sixth-seeded Cleveland State before advancing after ten rounds of kicks from the penalty spot, 8-7.  Detroit downed Oakland in the regular season matchup, 2-1.

The winners from Thursday's two semifinal matches will face off Saturday night at 7 p.m. from Brown Field for the 2014 Horizon League tournament title and the corresponding automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.  All three matches will have live video via ESPN3.com and the Horizon League Network, as well as live stats.
