Metzger, Dugan Earn All-Tournament Honors
Kiley Dugan earned All-Tournament Team honors.

A pair of players represented Valpo on the Missouri Valley Conference women’s soccer All-Tournament Team when the tournament concluded on Sunday, as senior Morgen Metzger (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) and junior Kiley Dugan (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) picked up honors for their performance in Friday’s semifinal match.

Metzger bookends her career with conference honors, as she was a member of the MVC All-Freshman Team as a rookie in 2018.

“Morgen played at both the 6 and the 10 for us in the match,” Valpo head coach John Marovich said. “She produced combinations in central building positions as the 6, as well as finding switches when playing as the 10. Morgen had some solid attempts at goal, including one in the final minute of regulation which required the Evansville goalkeeper to make a great save to keep the game tied.”

Dugan adds to her plethora of accolades with this All-Tournament Team honor. A Second Team All-MVC honoree this year, Dugan was previously a First Team All-MVC and Third Team All-Region selection last season and an MVC All-Freshman Team recipient as a rookie in 2019.

“Kiley did a great job of finding the space between lines, as well as finding seams to get in behind,” Marovich said. “Her activity was very helpful in our build-up and movement in the attacking third.”
