Britt Nelson (Cortland, N.Y./Homer H.S.) has earned Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week honors for Valparaiso University for the third time this season.

The junior posted the Crusaders' lone first place finish in Valpo's dual meet with Illinois-Chicago on Saturday. She won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:19.89. In addition, she placed third in the 200 free (2:01.30) and was a member of the 200 free relay that turned in a time of 1:44.52.

Nelson also earned Athlete of the Week honors on November 8 and November 15.
