Crusaders Drop Triangular Meet

Valparaiso traveled to Milwaukee to take on two opponents Sunday, but could not come out with a win, falling to Wisconsin-Milwaukee 153-64 and dropping a 136-72 decision to South Dakota State.

For the fourth time this season, freshman Tina Vande Vusse (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West H.S.) captured the 50 yard freestyle, touching the wall at 25.26 for the win.

Shannon McDonald (Crown Point, Ind./Marian Catholic H.S.) recorded a second-place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke, followed for third by Leah Parker (Cleburne, Texas/Cleburne H.S.). Leah Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) touched the wall second in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:19.24, while Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.) took third place in the 100 yard freestyle.

McDonald also teamed with Caitlin Kerr (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point H.S.), Rachel Korellis (Champaign, Ill./Centennial H.S.), and Patricia Kloth (Medford, Wis./Medford Area H.S.) to post a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Valparaiso (1-7) returns to the pool this coming Friday, November 18th. The Crusaders will travel to Muncie, Ind. to take part in the Ball State Invitational.
