Valparaiso University had a total of six swimmers and divers selected to the Mid-Continent Conference Second Team following the completion of the league championships this past weekend.
Diver Anna Orwick (Broadlands, Ill./Champaign Centennial H.S.) finished second in both the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions over the weekend.
Elizabeth Thompson (Norman, Okla./North H.S.) was runner-up in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:09.03 as well as being a part of the school record-setting 800 freestyle relay.
Jaclyn Krause (Rochester, Mich./Notre Dame Prep H.S.), Rachel Majercik (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant H.S.), Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.), and Kati Smethurst (Grand Ledge, Mich./Grand Ledge H.S.) were members of the 200 and 400 freestyle relays which both took second place while setting a new school marks in each event as well. Majercik, Gregory, and Krause also joined Thompson on the 800 free relay.
