Jenny, Lightner Finish in Finals of Friday's HL Championships
The Crusaders competed in the third day of the HL Championships.

As records continued to fall at the Horizon League Championships in Cleveland, Ohio, it was Frederick Jenny (New Albany, Ohio/ New Albany)  who lit it up for the Crusaders Friday night. 

Jenny completed the 100 yard breaststroke in 56.54 which earned him eighth-place in the A-final. Tate Wegehauput (Tigard, Ore./Tigard) meanwhile hit the wall at 57.01, good for third place in the B-final.

In women's action, Ciara Lightner (Dixon, Ill./Dixon) stopped the clock in under a minute in the 100 yard backstroke, at 59.28, good for 14th place.

In team action, the women's 800 yard freestyle relay team of Flavia Segatto (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Charleow Flanigan), Ali Taubert (Bloomington, Ill./University), Makenna Cannon (Delafield, Wis./Kettle Moraine), and Andrea Bretl (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) recorded the 4th-best time in Valpo history with a 7:53.43 result.

The men's 800 freestyle relay team of Gonzalo Castro Diaz (Mexico City, Mexico), Jenny, Brian Wasicak (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) and Kyle Braun (McHenry, Ill./West) collected a seventh-place finish with a time of 7:07.16, also the fourth-fastest time in program history.
