Valparaiso University's Whitney Chada (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week after winning three matches last weekend.

The sophomore helped the Crusaders defeat Chicago State 4-2 with her 6-1, 6-2 victory at third singles. She also teamed with Kate Evangelist (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West H.S.) for an 8-4 victory at second doubles.

Chada again teamed with Evangelist against Wisconsin-Green Bay for an 8-6 triumph playing at the same spot in the line-up. The team fell to the Phoenix 4-2 though.

Chada was the second straight Crusader to earn Athlete of the Week honors as Monika Danko (Northfield, Ill./New Trier H.S.) last week.
