Valparaiso University women’s tennis coach Traci Young has announced the Crusaders will play 17 dual matches during the 2010 spring regular season, including seven home contests.

The Brown and Gold will open the spring slate on February 6 with a doubleheader in Kalamazoo, Mich.  Valpo will face both Kalamazoo and Western Michigan on opening day.

The Crusaders return home February 19 to face Ball State at Matchpoint Tennis Club in Griffith before heading south for their annual spring trip.  Valpo will face Eckard, North Dakota, and Green Bay in Florida before returning north to begin Horizon League play.

The conference slate begins March 20 in Green Bay with Valpo’s first three league matches played away from home.  Valpo will open outdoor play at the Valpo Tennis Complex on March 23 against Chicago State.  The Crusaders will also host Youngstown State, Cleveland State, UIC, and Wright State during conference play.  A visit to Valpo by Butler closes out the regular season on April 18 before the Horizon League Tournament begins April 23-25 in Indianapolis, Ind.
