Crusaders Finish Fifth at Pacesetter Invitational

Valparaiso concluded action at the Pacesetter Invitational Saturday, finishing fifth among Division I schools.

The Crusaders tallied 11 points over the two-day meet. Purdue took home the team crown, compiling 280 points.

Danielle Nunnelly (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso H.S.) led the Valpo effort with a runner-up finish in the 5,000m run, crossing the line in 18:16.98.

Amanda Body (Harlan, Ky./Harlan H.S.) posted two eighth-place finishes on the day. She finished the 100m dash in 12.83 seconds, before registering a time of 25.88 seconds in the 200m dash.

Valpo returns to the track next Saturday, April 22, at the Central Collegiate Conference Championships in Ypsilanti, Mich., hosted by Eastern Michigan University. The first event is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. CDT.
