Crusaders Begin Competition at Pacesetter Invitational

Valparaiso sits in fifth place after the first day of action Friday at the Pacesetter Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.

Julie Flowers (Sterling Heights, Mich./Stevenson H.S.) led the Crusaders in the shot put, recording a mark of 31'8". Amanda Hyttel (Racine, Wis./William Horlick H.S.) paced the Brown and Gold with her effort of 95'11" in the hammer throw.

Action continues Saturday on the campus of Rose-Hulman Institute, with the first events beginning at 11:00 a.m. CDT.
