Senior Melanie Wilson (Saint Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain) was honored as the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week today following her impressive performance last Saturday at the Phoenix Invitational.

Wilson showcased her versatility on Saturday, leading the Crusaders on both the track and in the infield.  She earned her first event victory of the meet with a leap of 18’7 ¼” in the long jump, the second-longest mark in the event in program history.  The senior followed with a second victory in the triple jump, registering a distance of 37’0 ½”.  Wilson also took second place in the 55m hurdles, crossing the line in 8.56 seconds.
