Valpo Wins 20 for Eighth Straight Season; Sweeps Loyola on Senior Night
On Senior Night at the ARC, it was only fitting that Valparaiso volleyball seniors
Haley Wise (Mishawaka, Ind./Mishawaka),
Kim Bukowski (Waukesha, Wis./West) and
Angie Porché (Lynwood, Ill./T.F. South) teamed up for the final point of a 3-0 (32-30, 25-14, 25-19) sweep of Loyola Saturday afternoon. The win was Valpo's 20th of the season, its eighth straight year with at least 20 wins.

Adrian Ortiz (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) made the first two goals of his collegiate career count in a big way on Saturday afternoon, bringing Valparaiso back from a one-goal deficit in the second half as the Crusaders earned a 2-1 victory over Cleveland State at Brown Field. With the win, the Crusaders finish the Horizon League campaign tied for third and will host a HL Championship quarterfinal matchup at Brown Field on Tuesday as the third seed.

Nate Goergen (Golden, Colo./Golden H.S.) threw for a career-high 261 yards and two touchdowns by Jacksonville pulled away from the Crusaders in the second half on the way to a 49-20 victory at D.B. Milne Field on Saturday afternoon in the final road game of the season for the Brown and Gold.
