Volleyball Drops Decision to Northern Colorado in Opening Round of NIVC

Making its third consecutive postseason appearance and fourth in the last six years, the Valpo volleyball team fell in opening-round action of the 2023 NIVC Thursday evening in Greeley, Colo. to host Northern Colorado, 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, 25-14).


Volleyball Set For 2023 NIVC

For the third straight year and the fourth time in the last six seasons, the Valpo volleyball program heads to postseason play after earning an at-large bid to the 2023 NIVC. The Beacons will travel to Greeley, Colo. for the tournament's first two rounds, taking on host Northern Colorado in opening-round action on Thursday before a potential second-round matchup against either Wyoming or South Dakota on Friday.


Three Volleyball Players Earn MVC Scholar-Athlete Honors

The Valpo volleyball team had a trio of players recognized on Monday as MVC Scholar-Athlete honorees, as the conference announced its Scholar-Athlete squads. Miranda Strongman (Wolverine Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Central [LIU]) was an MVC First Team Scholar-Athlete selection, while Bella Ravotto (Mishawaka, Ind./Marian) and Emma Hickey (Granger, Ind./Penn) both were named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team.


Volleyball Earns Bid to 2023 NIVC; Faces Northern Colorado in First Round

The Valpo volleyball program returns to the postseason for the third consecutive season and the fourth time in the last six years, as the Beacons learned they had earned an at-large bid to the 2023 National Invitational Volleyball Championship on Sunday evening. Valpo will make the trip to Greeley, Colo. for the tournament’s first two rounds and will face host Northern Colorado on Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT.


Januski Named to MVC All-Tournament Team

Valpo volleyball senior middle Mallory Januski (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) represented the Beacons on the MVC All-Tournament Team following a strong performance in Valpo’s tournament match.
