Ravotto Named MVP of Cougar Classic, Kuckkan All-Tournament
Bella Ravotto was named Tournament MVP.

After claiming the program’s second tournament title of the season, the Valpo volleyball team placed a pair of players on the Cougar Classic All-Tournament Team. Junior Bella Ravotto (Mishawaka, Ind./Marian) claimed Tournament MVP honors and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by junior Gretchen Kuckkan (Lafayette, Ind./Central Catholic [Indiana State]).

Ravotto notched seven kills, six digs and three blocks in Valpo’s win over WIU, and followed with a team-high 10 kills without an attack error, hitting .417, and six more digs in the sweep of SIUE. Over the two matches, the junior averaged 2.83 kills/set on .340 hitting and an even 2.00 digs/set.

Kuckkan was clean on the attack over the course of both sweeps, hitting .519 and averaging 2.33 kills/set while not committing a single attack error. She picked up seven kills on 15 swings in the WIU match, and followed with seven more kills on 13 swings against SIUE while also tying for team-high honors with three blocks.

For Ravotto, it is the first All-Tournament Team accolade and first Tournament MVP award of her career. Kuckkan’s honor was the second of her collegiate career.
