Goch Signs with Valpo Volleyball

Valpo volleyball head coach Carin Avery announced today that Danica Goch, a 5’8” defensive specialist from Baroda, Mich., has signed to join the Beacons as a freshman in the fall of 2024.

“We are very excited to have another talented freshman join our team in the fall,” Avery said. “Danica’s main position will be a defensive specialist. She has a very natural platform which allows her to excel in serve receive, and the pressure she puts people under with her serve will be an asset to our program. She is another freshman who will bring a very high volleyball IQ to our program.”

Goch was a Second Team All-Conference selection as a senior, helping Lakeshore H.S. to a district championship. She tallied 390 digs, 378 kills and 97 service aces in her two seasons playing with the Lancers. Goch plays her club volleyball for Dunes Volleyball Club.

Goch’s addition gives Valpo eight incoming freshmen for the 2024 campaign, as she joins Kadence Brumitt, Drew Glaser, Jordyn Gove, Ava Helming, Mia Liberti, Lindley Martin and Lilly Merk.
