A Crusader record-holder in numerous categories on the soccer field, Lori Moore is among the best ever to play soccer in the Mid-Continent Conference, and accordingly will be inducted into the Valparaiso University Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 23.

A four-time All Mid-Con selection, including three times on the league’s First Team, she still ranks fourth on the league’s all-time scoring list with 35 career goals and 80 career points.  In addition to holding Crusader school records in both categories, she also holds the school mark with 10 match-winning tallies over her four seasons.

Named Mid-Con Player of the Week six times during her career, Moore was the Mid-Con’s Newcomer of the Year in 1999.  In 2000, Moore set a school record with 11 goals and 24 points on the season.  She was named to the Mid-Con All-Tournament Team in 2001, and three times during her career earned All-Academic Team honors from the conference.  She also served as Valpo’s co-captain both her junior and senior seasons.

Moore is an elementary physical education teacher in the Lake Central (Ind.) School Corporation and has been the assistant girls’ soccer coach since 2005.

The Valparaiso University Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 11 a.m. at the Strongbow Inn Banquet Center.  The inductees will also be recognized at halftime of both the men’s and women’s basketball games on the same day.
