Assistant coach Brendan Roth finished the third season of his second stint on Valpo's staff in 2019. Before returning as an assistant coach in 2017, Roth had previously been director of soccer operations and reserve team head coach during his first stint on Valpo's staff. Roth was promoted to the role of top assistant for the 2019 season. 

Roth spent the 2016 season as the head coach at Calumet College of Saint Joseph.  

As a player in the program from 2007-2011, Roth was a near permanent fixture on the field for head coach Mike Avery, appearing in 66 matches and starting 42 times. In 2011, he helped lead Valpo to its first Horizon League championship. Roth graduated from Valparaiso with a degree in sports management. 

Roth resides in Valpo with his wife Laura and their daughter Taylor.
