The Valparaiso University women’s tennis team closed out the Rocket Invite on Saturday.

How It Happened

• Valpo faced off with Youngstown State in doubles and the Penguins won both matches including a narrow 7-6(6) victory at No. 2. Valpo’s No. 3 tandem played against Toledo (instead of YSU) in an extra match and fell in a close one, 6-4.
• The Beacons also battled Toledo in doubles and incurred setbacks on all three courts.
• Toledo topped Valpo in all six singles matches, although several featured close sets.

Up Next 

Valpo will host the three-day MVC Individual Championships beginning on Friday, Oct. 8 at the Valpo Tennis Complex.
