Kyle Padgett arrived at Valparaiso prior to the start of the 2005 football season and is in charge of the Crusader offensive line.
He played for the Crusaders from 2001 through 2004, playing in a total of 44 contests. He earned two major awards while with the program. He was the 2003 Joe Sever Award winner for courage, character, attitude, and achievement while going above and beyond the call of duty for his actions on and off of the field. He was also the Most Valuable Lineman his senior season. Padgett was also a member of Valpo’s championship team in 2003 in the Pioneer Football League.
An All-State selection in football and baseball at Scecina Memorial High School in Indianapolis, he graduated from Valparaiso University in 2004 with a degree in physical education. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in sports administration at Valpo.
