Women’s Golf Opens Spring at Lady Bison Classic
Kelsey Eichenauer tied for the team lead on Sunday.

The Valparaiso University women’s golf team cranked up the spring semester with its first competition since October on Sunday, golfing the first 18 holes of the three-round Lady Bison Bay Point Classic, hosted by Lipscomb at the par-72, 5971-yard Nicklaus Course in Panama City Beach, Fla. Valpo was led by Madison Keil (LaGrange, Ind. / Lakeland) and Kelsey Eichenauer (North Manchester, Ind. / Manchester).

How It Happened

  • Keil and Eichenauer each carded an 88 (+16) to pace the team.
  • Third on the team is Emily Krzyzanowski (Scottsbluff, Neb. / Gering), who turned in a 92.
  • The Beacons made five birdies, led by Eichenauer with two.
  • As a team, the Beacons shot 361 (+73) and sit in 15th place. Bucknell and Bethune-Cookman are tied for 13th at 347.
  • Host Lipscomb leads the event at 291 with Lauren Thompson of the Lady Bison atop the player leaderboard with a 68.
