With the Missouri Valley Conference portion of the schedule set to commence this weekend, the Valparaiso University tennis program has officially unveiled team captains for the 2022 campaign.

Head coach Bob Modesto has announced that sisters Claire and Olivia Czerwonka (Kenosha, Wis. / Saint Joseph Catholic Academy) will serve as team captains again this year.  

“Claire and Olivia were our captains last year and played an integral role in our success,” Modesto said. “We look to their leadership again this year to continue our rise in the conference. They both exemplify the definition of success and leadership, and I look forward to seeing them flourish in their roles as captains during this upcoming stretch.”

Valpo will open the Missouri Valley Conference portion of the schedule on Saturday, April 2 vs. Drake at 3 p.m. at The Courts of Northwest Indiana. The Beacons will round out the home portion of the schedule vs. UNI at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday for the Senior Day match at The Courts of NWI.
