2022: Cracked the top 5 in program history in the outdoor shot put with a throw of 12.26 meters (40-2.75) at the Valpo Invite on April 30... Also had the team’s best hammer throw of the season at 46.25... Paced the team in the shot put during the indoor season at 11.17m... Established a PR in the discus on April 9 at the Illini Classic with a 33.52m (110-0).

2021: Cracked the program record book in the indoor weight throw with a 54-4.75 on Feb. 5 at the GVSU Snowdown Showdown. That mark ranked fourth in program history and stood as the team’s best of the season… Had her best indoor shot put of the year on Feb. 13 at the Indiana State Invitational, a 35-5.25 (10.80m)… Posted her season best in the outdoor shot put on May 1 at the Valpo Invite, turning in a 37-11.5 (11.57m)… Also competed in the outdoor discus, posting a season best of 109-5 (33.35m) on April 9 at Benedictine… Had her top outdoor hammer on May 14 in the MVC Championships, turning in a 154-1 (46.96m)… Member of MVC Academic Honor Roll… Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic honors.

2020: Led Valpo in the shot put during her sophomore year… Set a career high in the weight throw on Jan. 24 at the John Gartland Invitational, finishing third with a mark of 48-11½ (14.92m)… Also at John Gartland, posted a 33-6¾ (10.23m) in the shot put, finishing eighth… Threw her season-best shot put on Feb. 7 at the Windy City Rumble, finishing third with a mark of 36-7¾ (11.17m)… Also at Windy City, finished fifth in the weight throw with a distance of 48-0 (14.63m)… Threw 44-0¾ (13.43m) in the weight throw on March 1 at the MVC Indoor Championships.

2019: Saw her first collegiate action with Valpo at the Blue and Gold Invitational on Nov. 30. Her mark of 36-0¾ (10.99m) in the shot put was the team’s best of the indoor season… Hit 43-10¾ (13.38m) in the indoor weight throw in the same meet. Both marks stand as personal bests… Threw 34-2 (10.41m) in the shot put and 43-6 (13.26m) in the weight throw at the MVC Indoor Championships on Feb. 23…Set a personal record in the outdoor shot put at 37-1 (11.30m) and discus 104-2 ¼  (31.76m) at MVC Outdoor Championships on May 12 while also establishing a personal best in the discus at 104-2.25… Set a personal record in hammer throw at 130-4 (39.73) on April 6 at the Gibson Invitational.

Prep: Named the MVP of the track team in 2016 and 2018… Was second at all-city in the shot put as a freshman (2014-2015)… Became the city champion in the shot put as a junior (2016-2017) and senior (2017-2018)… At indoor state, placed eighth as a sophomore, sixth as a junior and second as a senior… Won the shot put in the small school showcase as a senior and placed second in the discus in that meet… Played basketball all four years including two years on varsity… Was a basketball state champion in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016… Won a regional championship in basketball in 2017-2018… Served as the senior class president in 2018.

Personal: Majoring in psychology… Born on Aug. 19, 2000… Daughter of Terrell Smith and Michael Pierce.
