2019 (Track & Field): Entered the Top 5 in program history in the indoor 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.65, which placed him fifth at the GVSU Open on Jan. 25. Also helped the 4x400-meter relay team record a time of 3:35.44 that day.  The mark was the best on the team during the indoor season and is tied for fourth in Valpo history… Led the team with a 4:18.19 time in the indoor mile, recorded during his third-place finish on Feb. 15 also at GVSU Tune-Up. Again entered the record book as part of the distance medley team on Feb. 1 at the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame. The squad ran a 10:11.01, which ranks fourth in Valpo history… Ran a 1:57.66 in the 800-meter run at the MVC Indoor Championships, finishing 13^th. 

2018 (Cross Country): Ran in every race for Valpo during his senior campaign…Posted his best 8K time of the year at the Bradley Intercollegiate, where he placed eighth on the team, finishing in 27:15.7.

2018 (Track): Placed fifth on Jan. 12 at GVSU in the 800 meter run with a team and personal season-best time of 1:57.51…Also secured a fifth place finish at the Fort Wayne Duals on Jan. 20 with a run of  2:00.68…At the indoor MVC Championships, he was part of the 4x400 relay team that combined for a seventh-place finish. With a time of 3:23.19, they moved up to fourth in the Valpo record book for the event…At the Bobcat Invitational on March 30 he finished with a 4:06.87, which was good for 10^th place.

2017 (Cross Country): Competed in four meets for the Brown and Gold in his first year of competition for Cross Country ... Ended the season by placing at the MVC Championships (30:12.86) and NCAA Regionals (39:02.30). 

2017 (Track): Competed in the indoor 60m dash (7.79), 300m dash (39.35), 60m hurdles (9.82), pole vault (12-0), long jump (20-0.5) and shot put (27-5.5) as a heptathlon athlete ... Acheived a career-high 4,076 in the indoor heptathlon on Feb. 26, the third-highest indoor heptathlon score in program history ... Also took part in the outdoor 100m dash (12.27), 400m dash (55.27), 110m hurdles (18.29), pole vault (12-8.25), long jump (21-0), shot put (28-11.25), discus (76-11) and javelin (134-6) ... Racked up 4,725 points in the decathlon on May 7 ... One of a league-most eight Crusaders on the Horizon League all-academic team.

2016 (Track): Earned 3,803 points in the indoor heptathlon ... held a time of 9.96 in the 60m hurdles ... Won the Horizon League Outdoor title in the decathlon despite trailing by 262 points entering the final event.

Prep: Three-year letter winner for the Cavaliers...2015 eighth place at the state meet in the 800m race ... 2015 sixth place in the 800m event at the indoor state meet ... 2015 Northern Illinois Big 12 800m champ…all-conference in the 1,600m, long jump, triple jump events and 4x400m and 4x800m relays ... 2015 and 2014 all-area track ... broke the school records in the 800m race (1:56.55), 1,600m (4:24.58) and 4x800m relay (8:06.96) ... two-year letterwinner in cross country ... all-area cross country performer ... one letter in basketball ... participated in football ... four-year high honor roll student ... member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Beth and Jeff Hickey ... major is civil engineering.
