The Valparaiso University women’s golf program has announced the addition of Bella Campos (Honolulu, Hawaii / IMG Academy), who will join the team as a freshman for the 2023-24 academic and athletic year.

“Bella is a very well-developed student-athlete coming to us from Honolulu through the IMG academy in Bradenton, Fla.,” head coach Jill McCoy said. “Bella has a phenomenal work ethic and drive to improve her game. She has spent the past two years really pushing herself to take her game to the next level, and will continue to grow and flourish here at Valparaiso University. Bella is going to be a great addition to the team.”

Campos’ accomplishments on the golf course include draining a hole-in-one on four different occasions, turning in a practice-round low of 62 and posting a tournament low of 65.

“I chose Valparaiso University not only because I really agree with Coach McCoy’s practice philosophy, but because it is a small Division-I school,” Campos said. “At Valparaiso, I feel as if I won’t be seen as just another number, but instead as a student-athlete joining a school that is rooting for my success.”
