2024: Logged a total of one inning over three games before being shut down for the season with an injury... Appeared on Feb. 23 at Alabama, March 5 at Jacksonville and March 16 at Campbell... Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic honors.
2023: Appeared in 14 games and logged 19 1/3 innings… Struck out 16 against 19 walks… Worked 1 2/3 shutout innings on Feb. 26 at UT Martin and a shutout frame on April 30 at Missouri State.
2022: Appeared in six games out of the Valpo bullpen and logged 6 2/3 innings during his freshman season... Struck out nine while issuing just three walks and posted a 6.75 ERA... Worked a scoreless frame in his collegiate debut on March 4 at Omaha and also turned in a clean inning on March 29 vs. Purdue Fort Wayne.
Prep: Helped his team to conference and regional championships in 2019… Earned all-conference accolades as a senior in 2021… Recorded 17 strikeouts in a single game… Three-year varsity letter winner… Also competed in basketball… Played for Oak Forest Baseball (2010-2018) and Chicago Elite (2019-2020)… Graduated honors with distinction.
Personal: Son of Patty and Steve Hack… Has an older brother, Chad, and an older sister, Danielle… Hobbies include spending time with friends and teammates, playing basketball and driving around the city… Can do a decent Chewbacca noise… Favorite food is Italian or Mexican, movies are Interstellar, Transformers and The Green Mile, pro baseball team is the Chicago Cubs, MLB player is Clayton Kershaw, musical groups are AC/DC, Mike Stud and Linkin Park and TV show is The Office.
