2023 CSC Academic All-District Team

2023: Had a 1-4 record with two saves and a 6.59 ERA in 15 games, seven starts… Walked 34 and struck out 40 in 54 2/3 innings… Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team… Posted a 1.90 ERA in his first eight outings of the season before moving into the weekend rotation… Notched the save with three scoreless frames on March 4 at Little Rock… Picked up the save with three shutout innings on April 3 vs. Murray State… Received the win after pitching six innings on April 15 at Bradley… Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors.

2022: Posted a 4.76 ERA while making 14 appearances, all in relief... Struck out 24 and walked 10 in 22 2/3 innings... Pitched a shutout inning on Feb. 25 at Alabama A&M... Did not allow a run while striking out five over 2 2/3 innings of four-hit ball on March 5 at Omaha... Turned in a scoreless frame on March 20 at Murray State... Pitched 1 1/3 shutout innings on April 16 at Illinois State and followed with two scoreless frames on April 17 against the Redbirds... Did not allow a run over 1 2/3 innings on April 26 at Purdue... Worked a scoreless frame on May 15 vs. Bradley... Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors.

2021: Appeared in 21 games and logged 30 2/3 innings out of the Valpo bullpen while notching 31 strikeouts and posting a 5.28 ERA overall and a 4.80 ERA over nine MVC outings… Did not allow a run nor a hit while striking out the side in his Valpo debut on Feb. 20 at UAB… Did not surrender a tally in any of his first six Valpo outings, a streak spanning 6 1/3 innings… Tossed three shutout innings and garnered a season-high five strikeouts on March 14 at Middle Tennessee… Worked two shutout frames on March 26 at Butler… Hurled 1 1/3 innings without yielding a hit or run in his first MVC outing on April 1 at DBU… Did not allow an earned run on April 17 at Indiana State… Tied a season high with five strikeouts on April 23 vs. Southern Illinois, holding the Salukis to one run on two hits in 3 1/3 innings… Pitched two scoreless frames without yielding a hit on May 8 at Bradley, receiving his first victory of the season… Did not permit a run over two innings on May 16 vs. Evansville… Heaved a scoreless ninth and nailed down his first save of the season as Valpo edged Illinois State 6-5 on May 27 in an MVC Tournament elimination game… Member of MVC Academic Honor Roll.

Before Valpo (Athletics): Spent two seasons playing junior college baseball at Indian-Hills Community College-Centerville and was named NJCAA Region 11 Honorable Mention in 2019… Was a four-year high school letter winner at Gilbert, where he was a three-time all-district selection (2016, 2017, 2018), three-time all-conference choice (2016, 2017, 2018), two-time all-area team member (2017, 2018), two-time team MVP (2017, 2018), two-time Top Performing Pitcher (2017, 2018) and 2015 newcomer award recipient… Travel experience includes Iowa Sticks Scout Team (Fall 2014-2017) and Iowa AAU Baseball Team (Summer 2017, played a series in Japan)… Two-year letter winner in both basketball and track & field.
