Valparaiso Places 10 On Fall Academic All-League Squads


Valparaiso placed a league-high 10 student-athletes over five sports on the Horizon League's 2014 Fall Academic All-League Teams, as announced today by the league office.

Cross Country Announces Team Awards


The Crusaders cross country teams announced the winners of their team awards on Tuesday. Jessica Richardson and David Rutkowski were named MVP's, Liz Bloy and Nathan Gafkjen were awarded Most Improved, and the trio of Eileen Carmignani, Michael Salguero and Adam Bruno were selected as the Coach's Award recipients.

Top-Ten Crusader Times Close Season at Great Lakes Regional


The Crusaders cross country teams concluded their seasons today in Madison, Wis. at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. Adam Bruno and David Rutkowski both set the third-best in Valpo history as they crossed the tape in 32:53.

Richardson, Bloy Garner All-League Honors at Horizon League Championships


Jessica Richardson and Liz Bloy garnered First-Team All-League honors with third and fifth placed finishes at the Horizon League Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Both the men and women finished in sixth place.

Richardson Sets New Personal Best with Top-Ten Finish at Bradley Classic


Jessica Richardson broke her personal best and second-best Valpo time in a 6K with her 21:12.4 and seventh place finish at the Bradley Pink Classic to pace the Crusaders on Friday.

Jessica Richardson beat her previous personal best by almost a minute as she set the second-fastest Crusader time ever with her sixth place finish at the Notre Dame Invite.

The Crusaders men's and women's cross country teams traveled north of the border this weekend to race in the Western Invitational. The Brown and Gold were paced by seniors Jessica Richardson and David Rutkowski.
