Valparaiso placed eight student-athletes across five sports on the Horizon League Fall Academic All-League teams, as announced by the league office this afternoon.
The Crusaders wrapped up their cross-country seasons at the NCAA Regionals in Madison, Wisconsin Friday. The men's team turned in a 29th-place finish while the women's squad earned a 30th place result.
Richardson finishes 5K in 18:49.19 for 7th place; Rutkowski crosses line at 26:43.09 to claim 20th place finish in Horizon League Championships at Boardman High School in Ohio.
Junior Jessica Richardson turned in a 6K time of 21:51 at the Bradley "Pink" Classic, good for 32nd place overall; Rutkowski paces the men at 26:04 in the 8K, Przybyla just behind at 26:15.
Men's cross country finished 22nd at the Notre Dame Invitational behind David Rutkowski's time of 27:34 on 5-mile track; Jessica Richardson crosses line of 5K race at 18:25.4, helps women's team to 23rd place finish.
Jessica Richardson takes 18th place overall in the Women's 6K with a time of 23:29.84; Rutkowski crosses line at 28:17.16 in the Men's 8K in Bronx, New York.
Jessica Richardson clocked in at 18:39.7 to clinch 7th place at the Crusader Open. Richardson helped her team to a second place finish Friday at Sunset Hills Farm.
