Transfer Kelly Watts to Join Valpo Program

Valparaiso University head coach Keith Freeman has announced that Kelly Watts will be transferring from Eastern Michigan University to join the Crusader program beginning in the fall of 2008 after playing for the Eagles the past two seasons.

2007-2008 Valpo Women's Hoops Year in Review

As the 2007-2008 women’s basketball season gets underway, fans of the Valparaiso Crusaders will notice considerable changes from previous seasons, both on and off of the court.


Valpo Women Picked Fifth in Inaugural Horizon League Season

Valparaiso University has been picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League during its inaugural season of play according to the preseason poll selected by the league’s head coaches, sports information directors, and media members.


Valpo Hosting Fourth Annual Basketball Clinic for Girls

 Valparaiso University’s women’s basketball program is holding their fourth annual Parents Night Out Girls’ Basketball Clinic on Saturday, October 20 from 5-8 p.m. at the Athletics-Recreation Center.


Rietema Named Mid-Con Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Valparaiso University’s Betsy Rietema (Grand Rapids, Mich./Christian H.S.) has been named the 2006-2007 Mid-Continent Conference Women’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year in a vote of the conference’s faculty athletic representatives.  The Mid-Con Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award is the most prestigious individual honor given by the league.


Valpo Women's Hoops Ranks 12th in Division I in Team GPA; Ninth Straight Year in Top-25

Valparaiso University’s women’s basketball program, known for their success both on the court and in the classroom, finished the 2006-2007 school year ranked 12th in the nation in NCAA Division I for team grade point average. 


Valpo Women's Basketball Program to Host 13th Annual Fall Coaches Clinic

The Valparaiso University women’s basketball program will host its 13th annual Fall Coaches’ Clinic on September 14-15 at the Athletics-Recreation Center.  The event will feature six collegiate head coaches, including four at the Division I level, as well as a high school coach.
