Brittany Anderson Named Valpo Director of Compliance

A familiar face in the Valparaiso University Department of Athletics both as a student-athlete and as a compliance intern, Brittany Anderson has joined the department in a full-time capacity. She has assumed Director of Compliance responsibilities, as announced by Executive Associate Athletic Director Sarah Pruess.


Valpo Student-Athlete Academic Success Center to Bear Mark LaBarbera’s Name

President José D. Padilla, J.D. and the Valparaiso University Board of Directors have announced that the newly renovated academic suite in the Athletics-Recreation Center will be named the Mark LaBarbera Academic Success Center in recognition of LaBarbera, who is retiring on June 30 after 18 years as Valpo Director of Athletics.

Valpo Athletics Leads Missouri Valley Conference in Academic Achievement

Valpo Athletics continues to produce champions in the classroom, which was reinforced on Tuesday as the NCAA released its most recent Academic Progress Rate (APR) data. Nearly half of the athletics programs achieved perfect Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores of 1000, while 11 posted scores of 990 or better and 13 of 17 posted scores above the national average in their respective sport.
