Bradford Earns Third Team Academic All-American Honors
Valparaiso University's Alyssa Bradford (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) has been named to the ESPN the Magazine women's track and field/cross country Academic All-America Third Team, as voted on by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). Bradford is the fourth Crusader athlete to earn Academic All-American honors this academic year.

Three Crusaders Earn Academic All-District Honors
A trio of Valparaiso seniors were honored Thursday as the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District V women's cross country/track and field teams were released. Alyssa Bradford (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) and Lindsey Gilman (South Bend, Ind./Marian) both earned First Team accolades, while Windy Santa Cruz (Fall Creek, Wis./Fall Creek) was a Second Team selection.

Umana Sets New School Record to Lead Valpo at Miami
Ini Umana (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park) improved on her own school record Saturday in the discus throw and also posted the second-best mark in Crusader history in the hammer throw to lead the Valparaiso women's track and field team as it finished in 12th place at the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio.
